What a Lead School Counselor actually does

A lead school counselor is hired to own a slice of work neighbouring titles cannot fake on paper.

Schools, universities, edtech, and donor-funded programmes hire across the continent. Remote instructional design for global employers is a real path. Show subject, level, class size or cohort, and an assessment result.

On a Lead School Counselor resume, African and remote hiring teams look for time-to-feedback. Put that in the top third. Do not open with a personality paragraph. Do not invent a growth rate or salary band you cannot source.

A Lead School Counselor summary that earns the next line

Two or three sentences. Title, years, the environments you know, and one result. Then rewrite it in your voice. This is a shape, not a script to paste with someone else’s years.

“Lead School Counselor with 6+ years across African and remote teams. Known for time-to-feedback. Comfortable with differentiated instruction, exam administration, parent or donor reporting. Looking for a lead school counselor seat where that work is the job, not a side task.”

Lead School Counselor KPIs and OKRs that belong on a resume

KPIs are the numbers a manager already tracks. OKRs are bets you owned. Either can live in a bullet if you can defend it. Neither belongs as a fake salary or a regional growth statistic.

KPIs

pass or completion rate
attendance
time-to-feedback

OKRs

Rewrite one module so a new facilitator can run it from the pack.
Cut marking turnaround to a published SLA.
Lift completion or pass rate on one course without lowering the standard.
